I’m realizing that searching for and really reading into the positive stories that are all around us is so rewarding! Of course this means no more watching the local news. So I’ve sought out other media sources.
I found this story about a Philadelphia street potter, Roberto Lugo. He was born and raised in a rough neighborhood, known for poverty, drugs, and crime. He found pottery at his local community college in his 20s.

He actually sits out on the sidewalks with his potter’s wheel, and gladly shows others what he’s doing, and lets them try also. Hearing about how real and honest he is about his work is so inspiring. It’s amazing to hear about our very own neighbors out there following their passions and sharing it with others.
His art is featured in galleries around the country. Lugo’s work is beautiful, and definitely worth checking out! So today I’m thankful to find true stories like this one. People out there caring and making a positive difference.
