There’s always that joke about the generic beauty pageant, and how the woman from whatever state says her goal in life is “world peace.” So this is a surface level poke at something so much deeper and real. Have we ever really taken the time to listen to some of our wisest, most compassionate driven minds out there?
I admittedly haven’t done much research on some of our most kind, compassionate, wise faith leaders out there in our world right now. So when hearing about Desmond Tutu’s passing this weekend I dove into his story. Mind blowing!! And his laugh,…..oh I love it when a real laugh makes you laugh too!
I’d never heard of the InterSpiritual faith discussion conferences that have been going on over the years, including some of our most gentle, loving, and well educated faith based minds. I had no idea the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu had been on conference boards together, no idea the videos were on YouTube.
