A reoccurring life theme this past year has been utter amazement that it’s literally taken me almost fifty years to rediscover and appreciate my true self! It’s amazing to finally get back to relearning and reacting appropriately to my natural personality wiring.
Part of this development was definitely created by the first twelve years of my life being raised with no tv, this goes back to the strict religious upbringing. What do you do as a kid with no technical connection; you do a lot of reading, using your imagination, and playing outside with friends.
The funny part about my teen years was that I looked like an 80s hair band roadie (big hair) but always had the heart of a librarian. I was definitely a stereotypical nerd at heart. I’m pretty sure I buried my natural personality based on what my peers thought I should be like.
This path didn’t work out so well, but I’ll save those stories for later. Today I’m extra thankful that I’m finally returning to my old ways, loving getting back to nature, reading, and writing!! After going through some very rocky traumatic life events, I feel blessed that returning to my natural self is proving to be so healing and calming.
Life lesson finally learned!! Be your best self – as you were meant to be!
Live, Laugh, Love with everything you’ve got while you still can! Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly appreciate and value you all here.
