Well, live and learn,….and keep right on doing it over and over again! I’ve been writing online for a little over a year now and really enjoying it.
I’m a huge researcher so I can comfortably say, I’ve put in hours of time reading up on the how’s/how to’s of the blogging world here.
I hate to say it, but I really believe there are two completely different types of writers out here. The technical format tells me to use subtitles, make sure I have lots of internal and external links in every post, and to ensure that all my key phrases and titles match up for the algorithms to allow an optimal amount of readers to find me.
Like usual, I’m likely going to fall somewhere in the middle, technically. Writing for me has always been a natural flow of thoughts. I write what I’m feeling, what’s on my mind, things I really want to share with others.
I’ve decided not to worry so much about these algorithms online. No, I’m making a conscious decision to continue writing from my heart instead. It’s good to know how to “attract others” while blogging, but I’ll be doing it for all the wrong reasons if that’s my primary goal.
So my healthy writing boundary for my writing journey is to keep on writing from my heart. And if that doesn’t include a subtitle to boost an algorithm score, so be it. In the big picture, I’m doing this because I love to write and always have.
