So now that we have meme’s and quotes galore flowing around in our social media worlds, I’m never short on seeing some interesting and mostly positive quotes daily. The problem for my mind is that it gets sparked, starts to race, and then still keeps scrolling through multiple other posts (can be a bit of overload).

Ok, here’s what I’m thinking. Yes, it is awesome to have these social platforms specializing in all our favorite topics. One post in particular really caught my attention over the weekend. It mentioned how “the fear of being seen can be a result of trauma experiences.” Which now that I think about it more, it makes a lot of sense. Once you’re seen, you might be the next target.

I’m not saying this is a woman’s main fear, but with a history of abuse it can be a prevailing one. The tricky part about this is finding a happy medium where you not isolating. 

I’m getting ready to go back and read through about 50 years’ worth of letters between my mom and grandma soon. I’ve skimmed a few and let’s just say, there’s all kinds of undiagnosed paranoia, fear, and anxiety in those pages. They’re both gone now, and I’m about 20 years overdue to read through them.

Hopes and prayers that they aren’t too sad. There was a lot of religious extremism in this side of my family, so we’ll see.
