The struggle in someone’s mind while they’re going through recovery is sometimes unexplainable. Honestly, before starting in an ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families) program I had never even thought of it as my own Recovery.
Thankfully, the more experienced members of the group explain the healing process as a personal recovery. It’s helpful when you can find words to explain what you’re actually going through.
Writing has always been a blessing in my personal healing process. Unfortunately, especially with the holidays coming up, I’ve slipped back into a state of mental uncertainty. That feeling of insignificance, isolation, and daily darkness has found it’s way back into my mind.
Today, the writing needs to start up again. When you know you’re a writer and you don’t do it, your mind has too much time to trip up again.
Here’s hoping compassion and empathy can play a big role in all of our lives, for ourselves and for others. We really never know what someone is going through unless we ask.
Live, Laugh, Love with everything you’ve got while you still can. 💜✨ Thank you all so much for stopping by here. I truly appreciate and value you all.
