His eye is on the Sparrow (referring to one of the smallest birds).

Happy Friday!! As I’m signing up for even more therapy related programs in this “healing journey” I’m reminded of what has gotten me this far in life despite all the pit holes. There have been so many times over the years when I either thought about life not being worth it, or ways that everyone around me would be Better off without me,…..

Faith has kept me going. Faith that there are others that care, that there is a God who created me and wants the best for me.

My speaking voice is usually shaky and not the most eloquent by far, but now that it’s being given the chance to grow I’m amazed at where it’s leading me. This old hymn, “His eye is on the Sparrow” says it better than I’ll ever be able to here. Even the small ones matter, we all matter and we all have a gift/voice to share with others.

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye (Psalm 32:8). “Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

(Matthew 6:26) and “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:29–31).
