young woman on wooden chair for judge

In this past year of returning to writing, I’m finding a very repetitive theme that healthy writing involves personally digging into the “difficult conversations”, the topics that aren’t always popular to bring up.

So, judging others based on appearance, it happens all the time, and we all do it.

They say not to judge others based on their appearance. I know lots and lots of friends who say they don’t judge, and in reality they have no idea that they do it every day. I’m sad to admit that I’ve done it many times, and will be working on this one my entire life.

This is a topic that I could go on about forever, but to just touch on it at least sparks our thoughts to go there. Being completely honest, as a “somewhat petite”, middle age, very European looking white woman, with no intimidation factor at all, it’s been a pretty easy road for me overall.

It’s not easy to say these things out loud, but I’ll always feel extremely strong that it’s all about education and the willingness to put ourselves in others shoes. Oh, and Faith in God that stands above all else, keeping us in a caring, honest, fair, and loving frame of mind.

Monday thought – How do you feel about this one? Are you leaning more towards truly not judging others by their appearance? Are you working on it, or do you just do it and keep moving on without thinking about it?
